Becoming part of something that makes a real difference
What membership looks like
Freestylers is for people who want to contribute to their community in a practical, flexible way.
There’s no expectation to attend everything, and no rigid structure to follow. You choose how you get involved.
It’s about being part of a group of people who care about where they live and want to make a difference.
How it works
Freestylers connects a few times each month, usually on Tuesdays.
This includes:
- a service activity or fundraiser
- a planning session
- optional social catch-ups
Members can also take part in projects and activities outside these times.
You can contribute in a way that fits around your life.
Membership basics
Membership fees are kept as low as possible and help cover Rotary membership, insurance, and basic club costs.
As a guide:
- $250 per individual (full year)
- $320 per couple (full year)
These figures already include a $100 per member subsidy from the club.
If you join partway through the year, fees are adjusted, for example, joining halfway through the year would typically be around half the annual amount.
There are no weekly fees or expectations to purchase meals or drinks at meetings, you’re free to participate in a way that suits you.
A valid Working With Children Check is required.
Getting started
You don’t need to commit straight away.
Most people start by coming along to an event or getting involved in a project before deciding to join.
If you’re interested in becoming a member, the next step is to register your interest.

We’ll get in touch, answer any questions, and help you decide if Freestylers is the right fit.
